Time Times Three

Linde Werdelin announces the re-release of their classic 3-Timer watch.

The 3-Timer watch was first introduced almost ten years ago. It was released, as with all Linde Werdelin watches, in a limited edition and was quickly sold out. One of those who missed the chance to own this watch was Kristian Haagen, a watch connoisseur and expert who currently works as a watch appraiser for an auction house in Denmark.

Morten Linde contacted Haagen and asked him to be a part of the re-launch of the 3-Timer watch. Pulling his inspiration from Haagen, Morten Linde tweaked the watch’s design to fit the style of Kristian. The original pieces from years ago featured dark colors in shiny finishes. This time around, Morten changed that to more earthy colors, making the dark brown a little less dark, and changing the shiny finish to matte. Additionally, the arrowhead of the GMT hand was given a red outline to distinguish it from the other central hands.

The textile straps fit seamlessly with the case and offers a look that can be worn with either a suit or active sports wear. The 3-Timer carries a mechanical automatic ETA 2893 movement that has a 42-hour power reserve. It has a screw-down crown and case back, offering a water resistance of 300 meters. This GMT watch displays not two but three different time zones and a date aperture at 4 o’clock.

The Linde Werdelin 3-Timer is a classic sports watch, designed by Danes with the accuracy and dependability of a Swiss movement. Created for the modern cosmopolitan man (and woman), the 3-Timer not only offers avant-garde technology, it also provides a degree of exclusivity as it is available in only 33 pieces.
