Impossible? Improbable!

Once again, Hublot makes the impossible, possible.

Exclusively designed and produced in-house, Hublot creates the first vibrantly coloured ceramic. This product has not been previously done by any industry, and Hublot now holds the patent for it. It took them four years to master this technique. This new ceramic is incredibly dense, clocking in a hardness of 1500 HVI compared to 1200 HVI of conventional ceramics. The result is an extremely resilient material in a vibrant color. The colour that Hublot chose for their first presentation is the colour red, as it symbolises power, passions and glory. The colour is achieved when a fusion of pressure and heat sinters the ceramics.

Hublot is proud to present the BIG BANG UNICO Red Magic. The polished red ceramic case measures 45 mm and has a thickness of 15.45 mm. The polished red ceramic bezel contains polished titanium screws in black PVD. The flange, indexes, minute and second counter, Arabic numerals, and hands are all coloured to match the ceramic case. Through the anti-reflective treated sapphire glass, the Hublot HUB1242 is visible. It is a UNICO manufacture self-winding chronograph with a 72-hour power reserve.

Hublot continues to push watchmaking and watchmaking materials to the limit, and beyond. Their imagination and creativity repeatedly astounds us, making us believe that they don’t know the meaning of the word “impossible”. Hublot’s Research and Development and Metallurgy & Materials laboratory has, once again, proved that there is no end to the Art of Fusion.

The BIG BANG UNICO Red Magic is limited to only 500 pieces.
